George Bell Arena

Opened in October of 1961, George Bell Arena replaced the outdoor Ravina Rink and was named in honour of Toronto’s Park Commissioner, George T. Bell. The arena was designed and built as a state-of-the-art facility with a single pad arena. It once served as the practice facility for game-day skates of visiting NHL teams as well the Toronto Maple Leafs, and has seen hockey greats such as Gordie Howe on the ice.

This is one of 8 board run rinks within the City of Toronto. The others are Larry Grossman Forest Hill Memorial Arena, Leaside Memorial Community Gardens Arena, McCormick Arena, Moss Park Arena, North Toronto Memorial Arena, Ted Reeve Community Arena and the Bill Bolton Arena.
