Verona Arena

The Verona Ice Arena (Formerly Eagles Nest Ice Arena) is a Non-Profit facility that is operated by ICE, Inc. (a volunteer Board of Directors). It is managed by current Verona Area High School Head Coach; Joel Marshall, alongside Facility Manager Michael Ross. Verona Ice is one of the finest ice facilities in the State that is over 25 years old.

Built in 1994, Verona Ice Arena has an Olympic sized sand floor ice sheet, seating for 900 spectators in permanent bleachers with heat, a heated mezzanine overlooking the ice (added on 1997), 4 large general purpose locker rooms, 1 female locker room, 2 locker rooms for Verona Area HS Team (added 2003), Power Play Pro Shop and concession area.

The arena serves all age groups from youths to seniors.  Programs are provided in a variety of skill level from the Youth Hockey Leagues and the Learn to Skate program to our 50+ Senior Skating.  The Ice Arena is the center of ice sport activity in the Southern Dane County area.
It is the home to the 2014 & 2020 D1 State Champion Verona Area High School Hockey Program, Verona Wildcats Youth Hockey Association, Madison Mavericks Girls Hockey, LEAD Hockey Summer Training, TAP and the Jr. Jets Spring Hockey Programs.
The arena is open 12 months a year and easily has over 100,000 spectators and participants every year.
