Residents of New Hazelton have access to an ice arena in the Upper Skeena Recreation Centre, just 5 kilometers from town. The arena plays host to minor hockey games, figure skating, and a competitive mens ice hockey team. It is operated by a not-for-profit society, the Skeena Ice Arena Association, and is funded through user fees and a grant from the Village of Hazelton, the Regional District Kitimat-Stikine, and by the District of New Hazelton.
Arena Guide currently lists over 4,500 ice arenas, indoor and outdoor ice rinks near you and all across Canada and the USA.
