The Thorold Community Arenas is an arena complex with two ice pads, Frank Doherty and James Whyte, that share a central lobby, washrooms and canteen. In the heart of downtown, located between Front and Ormond streets, the arenas offer residents and visitors the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of healthy activities and community events. The arenas are open daily from 6:00 a.m. to midnight during the ice-in season and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, when the ice is out. The ice is typically removed from the arena at the end of March.
