The 450,000 sq. ft. Suncor Community Leisure Centre has become one of the most popular sport, leisure, fitness and recreational attractions in Fort McMurray. Since opening in 2009, the facility has welcomed millions of visitors and is home to many programs and amenities, including the Syncrude Aquatic Centre, CNOOC Nexen Field Houses, CNRL Arenas, Child Mind and Indoor Playground, Fitness Centre, the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery, and many more. The Suncor Community Leisure Centre hosts many sport and community user groups on a regular basis, along with a variety of events and bookings.
