Sullivan Arena at Saint Anselm College

Standing at 65,000 square feet with a 200-by-85-foot ice rink, the Thomas F. Sullivan Arena opened in August 2003 and serves as the on-campus home to Saint Anselm College’smen’s and women’s ice hockey programs. In recognition of an unrestricted gift from Robert and Miriam Smith of Gilford, N.H., the arena is named in memory of Mrs. Smith’s father, Thomas F. Sullivan.

The building has capacity for 2,700 and has hosted graduations, high school hockey tournaments, hockey camps, professional hockey practices and other large-scale events. The arena has hosted a number of nationally-ranked opponents for both the men’s and women’s ice hockey programs and has allowed the teams to boast one of the biggest home-ice advantages in the region.

Hockey teams enjoy spacious locker rooms equipped with custom-made lockers, along with a full-size training room to treat the student-athletes. Above the ice surface, center scoreboards feature a large message board and keep fans close to the action. In addition, the facility features a fully-functional press box, a president’s box at center ice and an area to broadcast live events from the rink.
