- Shady Nook offers a maintained outdoor regulation size rink (85′ x 200′) with natural ice surface. The rink is illuminated for night use.
- Free use of the rink is permitted unless otherwise booked or closed for maintenance.
- The outdoor rink has a concrete surface and is available for use in the summer for rollerblading, ball hockey, etc.
This is one of three ODRs in the Laurentian Valley. The other outdoor skating rinks can be found at the Alice and Fraser Recreation Centre and at Stafford Park. A skating trail is also available at the LV Four Seasons Trail.
