Built on the shores of the South Thompson River, two blocks from the downtown core, the Sandman Centre is the centrepiece of sport and entertainment facilities in Kamloops and home of the Kamloops Blazers.
The Sandman Centre has been known as the Riverside Coliseum (1992-2000), the Sport Mart Place (2000-2005), the Interior Savings Centre (2005-2015). Sandman Hotel Group currently holds the naming rights.
With a seating capacity of 5,464 for hockey and 6,000+ for concerts — and almost 20,000 square feet of exhibition space, this venue is the perfect location for trade shows, sporting events, conventions and big-ticket concerts.
Other indoor ice rinks owned and operated by the City of Kamloops include Brocklehurst Arena, McArthur Island Sports and Events Centre, Memorial Arena and Valleyview Arena.
