Optimist and George Blundun Arenas a fully serviced, wheelchair-accessible indoor ice arena, located in southwest Calgary in the same building as Optimist Arena. It is operated by The City of Calgary and is located in the community of Glendale. This location has ice available for bookings year-round from 6 a.m. to midnight, 7 days a week. From October to March two ice surfaces are available. From April through September one ice surface is available. The arena features Two 185′ x 85′ artificial ice surfaces (George Blundun/Optimist Arenas) 200/300 person spectator seating capacity One meeting room seating 35 people One concession open during prime time operating hours Hot and cold vending machines Optimist Arena is next door. Adjacent to the arenas is Optimist Athletic Park
