North Glenmore Park was annexed in 1956, moving away from its stone quarry roots to residential development in 1957. The Community Association (NGPCA) was formed in 1961 by the residents of the community as a volunteer not-for-profit organization. It achieved charitable status is 1996. Located in Calgary’s southwest, the community of North Glenmore Park consists of four community corners divided between Crowchild and Glenmore Trail. The community of Garrison Green also shares our community association. The area is serviced by multiple schools from both systems and the Rockyview Hospital is within a short distance. Many Calgary attractions such as Weaselhead and Heritage Park, golf courses, Glenmore Athletic Park, the Flames Community Arena, West Hills shopping centre and Chinook Mall are close at hand. North Glenmore Park is home to a very active community association. Its community centre is located along the city’s pathway system and attracts visitors from all over the city as well as area residents. The centre contains multi purpose rooms including, dance, yoga, music, meeting rooms and a gymnasium.
