Ice skating in Union Square! The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Kaiser Permanente is an outdoor holiday ice rink that runs from November to mid-January. In addition to general skating, skating lessons are also available, and you’ll be surrounded by holiday decorations, with a view of the magnificent Macy’s tree.
There are always special events planned including Simba Saturdays presented by Disney’s The Lion King, Drag Queens on Ice and start the new year off wearing your swimsuit in the Polar Bear Skate. Skate rental is available.
A portion of ticket proceeds generously benefits the community through the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.
