Glenn Hall Centennial Arena

Built in 1967, the Glenn Hall Centennial Arena is open for hockey and public skating from September through March. The arena is used to capacity by various local user groups. Public skating is scheduled throughout the week, and the arena can be booked by groups for private or public events. In the off-season, it is used for in-line hockey, lacrosse and various public events. In 2008, the Town renamed the arena in honour of Glenn Hall, the National Hockey League (NHL) Hall of Fame legend who now lives in Stony Plain. He was nicknamed “Mr. Goalie” for his consistent and long-lasting success in the NHL.
