The size of three NHL hockey rinks, the Emera Oval is a permanent outdoor skating rink/speed skating rink in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Originally known as the Canada Games Oval, this year-round facility is located on the Halifax Commons and was built for the 2011 Canada Games. In the winter, the facility is used for ice skating; in the summer it is used for wheeled sports.
It is the largest outdoor, artificially refrigerated ice surface East of Quebec City.
