Doc Bonar Memorial Arena is named after a local physician from our area Doctor Gordon James Bonar whose vision and dedication to sport and our community has never been forgotten. The arena offers outstanding skating and hockey programs. For generations Deloraine has iced hockey players, many of which have gone on to play junior, college, semi pro and professional hockey. Some of these players are recognized in the waiting room of our arena. Plans to upgrade and expand this recognition are in the works. A phase 2 of rink renovations was completed in the fall of 2011 with the addition of new boards, sound room, player’s benches, penalty boxes and new ice surface floor.
