Daly Memorial Rink

The Daly Rink was built in 1966 by the Massachusetts Metropolitan District Commission (MDC); coincidentally, 1966 was the first year Bobby Orr played for the Boston Bruins.

Rinks of similar design were built in Charlestown, Dorchester and Cleveland Circle.  After 44 years of providing virtually outdoor ice, the rink was enclosed in 2010 to afford our skaters an extended season and a more comfortable skating environment.

The Daly Rink is owned by the State of Massachusetts/DCR and managed by Newton Country Day School.
