This facility is located in the neighbourhood of Centennial, which is considered to be one of Winnipeg’s oldest communities. Built in 1903, our building was originally used to move train freight to and from warehouses, hence the nickname “Freight House”. In 1973, CWCI was established as part of a community initiative to add a space where families can come together.
