The Recreation Centre opened in September 2007 and features two regulation size ice surfaces (the Encana Arena and the Border Paving Arena). The main corridor serves as a connecting link between two pre-existing facilities: the Max McLean Arena and Curling Rink, and the Aquatic Centre. The Centre also includes meeting room facilities available in several configurations to meet a variety of needs as well as a Running/Walking track around the perimeter of the Encana Arena.
