Bracebridge Memorial Arena

The Bracebridge Memorial Arena houses an indoor ice surface and summer dry floor surface, concession operation, meeting room, community hall with a kitchen and bar area and the Hockey Hall of Fame. Home to the Bracebridge Skating Club, and South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association , this facility has a seating capacity of 1,200 people, with a total spectator capacity of 1400 people. It is partially wheelchair accessible, with 2 sets of washrooms, and ample parking and is adjacent to the skateboard park.

Constructed in 1949, the Bracebridge Memorial Arena is an arena with historical importance. In January 1952, the facility showcased two teams of retired National Hockey League players, marking the start of NHL Oldtimers’ Hockey. It was also the first hockey game played in Canada to be seen on network television.
