The Belmont Complex Ice Arena was built in 1967 by Hugo and Anne Montebell and opened for ice skating on November 26th. In 1979, the Belmont was purchased by the Armstrong County Recreation Authority (Chairman Ray Boarts) under the assistance from Armstrong County and it is now operated by the County.
